Tip of the Day 7/13/10 – Ground Meat Tic-Tac-Toe

Don’t have time to brown your ground meat before freezing? Try this cool trick from Real Simple.

Place meat in a zippered bag, press it flat, and seal. Press a chopstick over the bag, like tic-tac-toe, to create a grid and freeze. When you need to use the meat, just break off enough for your recipe.
