Tip of the Day 7/20/10 – Produce Freezing Tips

I love my freezer. I freeze vegetables, fruit, meat, leftovers, desserts, and casseroles to save time later and avoid waste. This is a great way to save money – especially if you have a garden. Freezing preserves more of the nutrients in vegetables than canning and is a lot easier. Just make sure to label & date everything and follow the first in first out rule (or FIFO for all of my accountant readers 🙂
