Tip of the Day 8/24/10 – Mail Control

Only touch your mail once.

After you get your mail, you should immediately put it where it needs to go. Put your bills on the desk to be paid, magazines in the magazine rack, junk mail in the recycle bin, etc, etc. Sorting it out immediately helps to cut down on the random mail clutter. Since I started couponing, the level of junk mail I receive has increased dramatically. I recycle anything that can be recycled, always making sure to shred anything with my personal information on it.

I walked in my house today and couldn’t believe how many unopened envelopes were laying on the couch! I will start following the “touch it once” rule tomorrow 🙂
